BIOGRAPHY

Cesare Rabitti lives and works in Bologna, where he was born in 1949.
Ever since he was a young boy, pushed by his passion for animals and for hunting in particular, he has been attracted by any expression of arts that allowed him to express his feelings towards nature.
His activity started self-taught in 1989 due to a tragic episode.
During a shoot he unluckily slipped down a precipice and kept himself grabbed at a bush, Noell, his wire-haired dog saw him by "warning" his hunting companions.
He was so grateful that he, pushed by impulse, started do model the dogs head and like the author Emilio Cioni cited l.. on:
….. the awareness of the own art can be set of by an accidental yet important episode.

It has been said about him:

Giovanni Morsiani (Morsiani Foundation)

His drammatic but neither conventional nor rhetoric lyricism immediately hits the observer. Thus he gets to reach the m.. remote strings of our souls, reveal feelings, tells us a story about antique art tradition. An almost forgotten past retur us through the works of his hands wich drown in the ground like the furrow of the plough in the sunrise of our live.

Prof. Francesco Franco (Art critic)

We welcome with pleasure the appearance of emerging forms with wich Cesare Rabitti joins the indispensable intellectual battle against depreciation of moral goods. The artists closeness to his animal creatures belongs to his biography a solidarity with the human beings, whose pain he tells in the symbols belongs to his consequent ethical and aesthetic choice the artists these are necessary forms of a world vision, which contains the sacredness of works, of the fight for the imp.. and indispensable things in live and of the deep respect for those who live in free nature, for the animal. These rough a.. plain forms of Rabitti denounce this persecution.

Marzia Novelli (Journalist of the Magazine "Argos")

….. this visual impact is really extraordinary. He makes the dog's face look alive and expressive, yes almost.. speaking.

Antonio Caggiano (Critic, Journalist of "Il resto del Carlino")

At palazzo Diamanti in ferrara the sculptor rabitti presents works of art of particular formula, of aesthetic dynamism…. Out of wich arises a remarkable ability to interpret the human and animal reality… a vertigo of existence.

Margherita Rovina (Critic, Journalist of "Nuova Ferrara")
At palazzo diamanti…. Figures, that directly speack to the visitors heart soul, vibrating, intense and expressive.

Giorgio Mertinelli (Journalist of magazinea "Cavallo Magazine")

And jet they move. Is the impression transmitted by the works of Cesare rabitti, the sculpture from Bologna, who is specialised in creating equestrian subjects. Horses shown in drammatic poses, or lived and untamed, or gentle and chart.

Alberto Roatti (Journalist of magazine "Diana Armi")

….. And so, while Cesare rabitti torments the modelling material with hunting scenes, once in the woods, once in the marsh, with his dogs petrified int he typical pointing position….. he does nothing less than perpetrate the ancient need…. Timless tangled by the predator Human Being.

Jean Pierre Denue (Journalist of Magazine "Becasse Passion")

Cesare Rabitti, the master of animal strengths and power.

L. Cabanau
(Journalist of Magazine "Sanglier Passion")
This art to make an attitude look dynamic and then to cast it into bronze and thus save the aesthetic of lines and forms.
