Cesare Rabitti Cesare
was born in 1949 in Bologna where he lives and works too. He has a very
personal approach to art developed from his own fascination for the
animal kingdom and hunting. Ever since he was a young boy he has been
increasingly attracted by any type of artistic expressions that allowed
him to express his feelings towards nature.
He started his work as autodidact in 1989 due to a tragic event. During a hunting shoot he slipped down to a precipice and he kept himself grabbed at a bush. He was saved by Noell, his wire-haired dog who saw him and “adviced” of Cesare's risk to his hunting colleagues. He was really grateful to his dog for its help so he impulsively began to mould a dog's head: as the writer Emilio Cioni quoted: ...the awareness of one's own art can be set off by an accidental yet important event... |
